welcome to yogaleza

We believe in cultivating peace and joy through community, care, and movement. Rest and listening to your body are the most powerful tools to become your most aware and most aligned self, and in return be more loving and compassionate to others.

We offer experiences in yoga, breathwork, meditation, collective naps, retreats, nature hikes, foraging, sound journeys with crystal singing bowls, and art workshops.

We aim to create spaces where we can feel seen and less defined by outer appearances, shifting the culture to be more accepting and community-based. We believe personal liberation of the body, mind, and soul is interconnected with collective liberation, freedom from grind culture and anti-racism.

FAQs

Do I have to be an experienced yogi to join in?

We welcome people of all experience levels to join our courses, events, and retreats. We are aware of the stigma of being “not the most flexible” person in the room and consider this in our sessions. Our mission is to create a non-judgemental space where you can explore ways to be more comfortable in your practice. For us, it’s not about being flexible, it’s more about learning how to accept and be at ease with what is for right now. We encourage growth and progress, as well as stillness and self-compassion.

Are your services only for women?

No, most of our offerings are open to everyone. If not, it will be stated on the event.

Why are some retreats and events only for people of color?

The yoga community in the West today has a lack of diversity, therefore we feel the need to make wellness more accessible for us. We aim to create spaces where we can feel seen and less defined by outer appearances, shifting the culture to a more accepting and community-based practice. Our belief in liberation of the body, mind & soul is connected to collective liberation and in anti-grinding culture and anti-racism.
